    Hello,

I want to install Dropbox for Linux on my AA1 with Linpus light. One website tells me that this only works when gnome is installed. So I tried to install gnome desktop with the package manager. I get the error message below and the install fails (doesn't even start). Can anyone help?
    Thanks, JOJ
PS. I am new to Linux!

    Hi there,

I got Dropbox to run after all with some help on the dropbox forum - where else!

But I still want to install Gnome desktop. I got some of the dependency problems solved and now there is only one problem hindering me from downloading Gnome desktop.

    notification-daemon-xfce conflicts with notify-daemon

Can anyone help me? thanks JOJ

    Hi,
I tried to download gnome to get a better desktop. I have the AA1 150 with Linpus. After loading the file, when the netbook starts up, I have a tool bar at the bottom of the screen but the rest of the screen is black. When I try to open the terminal or right click for the advanced menu, nothing happens. Any help on sorting this much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Rog
