I would like to copy music from my CDs to a flash drive or SD card and then to my AA1. However, I have tried this and the copied tracks will not play. Please tell me what I need. Thanks.

    Hi pkpeugh

Not sure why you cannot play your music, I have downloaded to an SD card and and a USB pen, then opened up the file by double clicking and I get my music played by Media Master the default player.
The files I am using are mp3 and wma. What are yours?
Have you opened the speakers? You may need to increase the volume as there is virtually nothing at the lower volume settings.
Have you tried the media in any other PC?

copied and pasted from a CD to the flash drive. Type of file says "CD Audio Track" Will not play in my desktop computer either from the flash drive, even though it looks like it is there. My aspire one is Windows XP.

    Hi again

I have the linux version of the One.
I wonder if it has anything to do with copy protection, also I am not sure if you can just copy and paste from a music CD.
I have used windows media player and been able to RIP the files from a CD then save them on my HD. I then copy and paste from that to a USB.

ones the cd is played in your windows media player, click the menu "copy from cd" from the media player or the "rip" menu from the higher version of windows media player, then copy all tracks from cd. Then all of those tracks will be saved at 'My Music' folder (default), then u have it, if you want mp3 format, then you need to have converter for it, because the copied tracks are in wma format, but i think it will play in mp3 players.

You have to rip the music from the CD. You can use a number of softwares but I would recommend the one already installed on your computer. Windows media player has the rip function. Insert the CD in the drive and open it with Windows Media Player, you will see an option to rip it on the top bar.

@mikelouis, you're almost five years late, but it's the thought that count.
