Downloads

I'm really really embarrassed to ask this, but I am a COMPLETE novice. What to you do next after downloading something to install it on the computer? Help!

 

Depends what operating system you're using, and what you've downloaded.

If it's Linux, try this wiki article: http://aspireone.wikia.com/wiki/How_do_I_install_more_software?

That article only covers basic installation, and essentially says you don't need to download things most of the time. If it doesn't cover what you need, come back and I'll accelerate my plans to add more to the wiki!

But if you do need more information, please specify what you have downloaded, and from where. Linux software comes in various forms - often with instructions built in somewhere, if you can find out where to look!
