google seems rather useless when searching stuff up about the aspire series ,(was told of issues with the bios, and it needing recovering if there's a hard crash. but I found very little on the web about it)

however having got it up and running, I chucked linpus and got ubuntu 9.04 UNR installed (about 5 seconds longer booting up, and most of that was the grub menu time lapse) so whilst it was updating I looked under system monitor, and it showed 2 cores. I went back to all the documentation and the ad from the shop I bought it from and there's nothing there about dual core. I see some things about hyperthreading via google, but nothing definite confirmed one way or another, and of course Intel don't have an email addy you can just fire the question to.

a nice surprise if it is a dual core.

(its the Aspire One A150L, Intel Atom [email protected])

I believe that hyper threading shows up as dual core. The possessor is not.

    Pretty sure.
