DVD Backuo software

I have home movies that I converted from video to dvd to keep them for longer. But recent BBC Click program exposed the fact that DVD's can last as little as 4 or 5 years so I want to backup DVDs to hard drive so that they can be re-created when and if required. I think I installed a program 'DVDBackup' using synaptic package manager - at least it confirms I have but It does not show in the Mint menu of installed packages. Can anyone help please.
