Easy speed upgrades?

    okay i have a new acer aspire one that has the ssd and 1gb ram. i would like to know what upgrades i could do that would increase speed? ps i have xp installed... never done linux but i could switch if it increases speed...

    Give that a good read-over, and follow the listed advice. That'll get you started. After that, browse through the Windows forum, and you'll get some more ideas.

    Hi!

    I've have the 512mb version - but I'm only planning on running Linux (too many bad experiences with Window in the past).

    Is it worth upgrading to make the machine 'faster' - or will it have no real effect on my Acer One?

    I'd be really grateful if someone could provide a link to how I do the 'upgrade' too.

    you can upgrade your ram to 1.5GB Hynix or Samsung, to speed up your aao.
