When it says run eRecovery was there meant to be a disc or something.

I can find eRecovery in the start menu but the only concern I have is if I totally screw up my Windows installation and can't get past DOS.

I ran eRecovery within Windows and it didn't mention anything about creating a disc or anything like that as the help files suggested. Just recovery.

Anyone able to offer assistance/information/help. BLAH!

The eRecovery option to create discs does not work with the Acer Aspire One with Windows XP. If you search through the threads, you will see several options:

    1) There is a Windows XP Service Pack 3 CD that you can create. It is generic but includes the drivers. I think you will be missing Microsoft Works and the like, but it will reinstall MS Windows.
    2) Call Acer and order the CDs. I went this route. Around $35 and you get two CDs to restore the drive. You will never regain the eRecovery partition though, even using these CDs.
    3) Use a system like Norton Ghost to back up and restore your drive.

    Good luck!
