The AAO locked up on my last night while I was changing some window settings (color / style). I forced a shutdown with the power button. Upon booting back up, the screen simply read "error 2". Figured I would try a clean wipe with the USB drive and pressed F12 to select a volume to boot off of. Usually the SSD is listed along with the bootable USB thumbdrive (restore). This time all that is visible is the thumbdrive. I continued with the restore process but the SSD is not displayed at all when it comes time to selecting the drive to format and reinstall Linpus.

    Has the SSD died completely?

My guess is that the ribbon (ZIF/ATA) cable to the SSD has opened up and is loose. This actually happened to me on my first trip with the A-110. Luckily, I suspected something like that and opened the AOne and reseated the cable - problem solved.
