error 80040216

    I have an Acer Aspire One Netbook and an external Buffalo DVD drive using Cyberlink DVD Suite v8.
    Every time I try to play a DVD I get the error message 80040216 and now an again error 80040265 and am unable to view the film.
    This question may have been asked before but I cannot find the answer on this site.
    Hope someone can help.

    Same here - cannot get a dvd to play @ all - using a samsung SE-S084C ext drive.
    That verror code comes uo only when using cyberlink DVD8.
    But for what ever reason can't get a DVD to play at all.
