I tried reinstalling the Aspire OS (Linpus) on my little brother's AAO and and it failed at 100% twice.

So on another PC in the house I made a new boot USB and tried running this however when I try this all I get on the screen is:

    L 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 ...

Which just fills the screen doing nothing else,

I've tried booting from all USB devices and the IDE0 and nothing is working. Just bringing up the same error.

    Any ideas?

Thanks daldred for your help but I found the solution on my own.

I didn't read too much of the topic you linked to but my USB drive is 4GB anyway.

I just formatted my USB drive in Windows (on my laptop, one of the other spare machines in the house) and then re-made the recovery USB on my freshly formatted FAT32 USB'.

I assume the formatting thing available on the disc isn't entirely great but never mind. Problem solved. :)
