have an Acer Aspire One 532h-2588 running Win7 Home Premium. In order for me to download audio books from my library I need to install a download manager (EbscoAudiobookDownloadManager 1.0.0.0). When I attempt to install the software the installation always aborts and gives me an "Error code 2738". There are several solutions recommended by various tech forums and I have tried them all, but I still get the same message. I had no problems downloading and using this software on my desktop running WinXP so I assume it's Win7 related. Anybody out there familiar with this problem?

Well I just posted this problem and I think I have found a potential solution. I googled the the problem with a few more specifics and I found a website "Watertown Regional Library" with this message "People using computers with Windows 7 are currently unable to download audio books from EbscoHost due to a problem with the Ebsco Download Manager. Ebsco has told me that fixing the issue is a priority item for their support staff and that they expect to have the issue resolved by August 10, 2011. I will put a notice here when I hear that they have fixed the issue." I'll bookmark that site and wait and see if that indeed solves the problem. If it does I will reply to this post with a message indicating that the problem has been solved.
