My refurbished Acer Aspire One netbook worked fine for a few weeks. Now when i try to use it I get the following message:

    Check cable connection..!
    PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key

There is no problem with power.
I don't have a cable connection since it is a portable netbook. I have attached a portable drive and tried reinstalling the Acer recovery disks but it does not make any difference. Any ideas? Thanks.

Look in the BIOS for the Primary Boot Device and make sure it's set to use the internal hard drive.

Please also use the search function, this question was asked not long ago.
