I recently did a BIOS reload after my Acer Aspire One crapped out. Now I can not connect to the internet thru the Ethernet connection. The light is on when cable is connected, the system says I am connected in the "Connect to" window, I appear to be receiving but nothing gets sent and no website will load. Received is a constant zero.

Does anyone know what to do to fix this problem so I can connect to the internet thru the Ethernet connection? Hoping it is a simple "Oh, that" type of fix.

    Thanks, everyone.

Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the hardware connection in the Device Manager? I've had to do this with a few different types of hardware to get them working after similar failures.

    Uninstall
    Reboot
Allow Windows to reinstall the device
