Ethernet problem

    My aspire one notebook has been having a problem lately. My netbook can connect to the internet through wireless router but it can't connect to it via ethernet cable. It started acting like this about a day ago and i really haven't done anything unusual on it to be acting like this. It would be really apreciated if someone were to guide me in the right direction on fixing this.

    Check to see if the two lights on the ethernet port are lit. One orange, one green. Are they still lit after you turn off the machine? Take the battery out to reset the NIC.
