I just installed Everquest on my A110, wanted to share with you all.

    First, my system specs:
    Acer Aspire One A110
    16 GB SSD model
16 GB SDHC card formatted to FAT32
1 GB RAM, running fbwf to speed up Windows so 256 RAM is reserved for that
Dual Booting Windows XP SP2 and Linpus

    Installation:
First, you will need Everquest Titanium. To install you will need a portable CD drive, or iso rips of the game CDs. Run the installer from the disc, point it to your SD card if you have the A110 model, wait a long time and switch discs (should be 5 discs total).

After the install finishes, you need to go to shardsofdalaya.com. This is a private server for Everquest that simulates the "old days" of the game, before all the modern graphical improvements and game tweaks. The Everquest of nowadays (called EQ Live) would never work on the AA1, so this is your best bet for playing the game. You will need to sign up for a free account there.

Grab the "shards of dalaya patcher" from the files section of the site, and then run it. First use the box at the top to point it to your install directory (usually C:\Program files\Sony\Everquest) You will need to be connected to the internet for the patcher to work. Select the options "Run after patch" and "Use EQW", then in the box on the bottom left select "Bind Processor Affinity: 1" Click the "Patch and Run" box on the right side of the screen and let it patch.

When it's done, EQW will pop up and ask you for EQ's location. Point it to the "eqgame.exe" file. DO NOT point it to Everquest.exe. Then start the game.

Next, the EULA will pop up. Click "agree" and continue on... It will ask you to verify your video card settings (Mobile Intel etc). Click OK and next up it asks you which models to turn on. I'm not using any of the advanced models myself, so that my AA1's ram will not be taxed too hard. Click Next, and it will have more options. Just make sure that 800x600 is selected for the resolution, and check the "Sound" box. Leave everything else off for now, and click Finish/Next on the bottom right.

To play the game, enter your account information and login to the server.

    Troubleshooting:
    Some common problems...
If your graphics are glitching, like if you see the NPC models twisting, disappearing, etc and textures disappearing, make sure you select the "Bind Processor Affinity:1" option in the SoD patcher.
When selecting which models to use, it will always say you can use only 2. If you select more than this, it won't let you continue to the next page. Instead of clicking the "Next" option, just hit enter, and this check is bypassed, letting you turn on as many models as you want. I'm not sure how well the AA1 handles the models though.
