    Hi guys,
It's possible to install Win XP in an external device and run it with the Aspire One?, I mean, if XP is too heavy and needs to be read much faster in order to run well, can we run the OS on an external hard drive or a USB device? Then save documents to the SSD.
The idea is to go to select the boot device, but im thinking that an external HD will not be detected as a bootable device, but there may be a way to make an external HD device (connected by usb logically) bootable.
    Thanks.

The AA1 can boot from USB, because ive put a bootable copy of xp on my pendrive.

install WinXP onto the external HDD and set USB as the highest boot priority, if the hdd isnt plugged in then it will revert to the linux on the ssd

Does anyone know if you have a fast USB drive that Win XP will run faster on a USB drive than the internal SSD??
