Requires aufs module and a bit of scripting, which is not in the Fedora kernel. You could just mount the right (or left, for that matter) sd card on /home; you'll need a few other tweaks to make sure it doesn't crash on suspend and/or hibernate if you use either one.

You might be able to use SSD plus SD as RAID array, but I don't know if the installer will allow this.

I think that limpus use a file called aufs.act (/etc/aufs.act),but i don't know if it will do the same in other rpm based distro.

It's going to take a lot more than that one file. The most similar setup to what Linpus does with the external storage I can think of in a reasonably mainstream Linux distribution would be a frugal install of Puppy Linux on the SSD with a pup_save file on the SD card in the left slot. The desktop is not at all Linpus-like, but the memory overlaying is very similar to what Linpus does. One drawback - Puppy itself hangs if you boot with an SD card in either slot. However there are a couple of variants that seem to recognize the SD card if it's present on boot. I've got one of them, ftp://puppy:[email protected]/aspireone/acer-puppy-410-27.iso
booting from a live USB stick and am looking at installing it in the last free space on my 120GB HDD to test the idea.
