Explansion bay?

    There seems to be an expansion bay under my acer, what is this for?

    Thanks for your most informative reply.
    I searched on 'expansion bay' 'underside' 'socket with flap and two screws over it' etc etc but I'm afraid I drew a blank.
    How am I supposed to know it has something to do with 3g?

    Is this a beginners forum/section?
    Oh BTW, try searching on the term '3g' yourself, see what you get
