I want to use my desktop monitor when at home. When I connect and boot up I get the Windows XP screen then all goes dark.

I do not have an audio cable attached...could that be my problem? If not, I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks,

    Peter

you need to connect the audio cable as well this will ensure that sound comes through. the screen.
