A 76 years old friend owns a AcerAspireOne (Blue model N270) but his eyes have problems to read the details on the small screen. My propose to him was to buy an external monitor and connect it on the VGA connector on the left side. The old man was very happy to get the monitor from the postman two days ago, but he (an me) has some troubles to get the cloned picture to the ASUS 24" screen. Only the Windows bootscreen is visible for some seconds, but after that a black screen with the short message on it: Loosed VGA Connection (or something like this). The monitor works without any problem on any other laptop, so the monitor and the cable must be allright. I googled some hours and have found the fact, that this is normal on a AcerAspireOne, but some tricky ways are possible to get the demanded solution. I also habve found a homemade video with instructions but it was not clear, whats to do, because the man moves the mouse in a hurry around and the clicked details are not understandable. If someone in the forum is so nice to help two old "hackers" with a step by step orientation, we would be very excited here in Switzerland. I have also tried to click Fn+F5: A small windows with four graphical pictures comes up, but nothing more happens, the window moves away after clicking ... The external monitor exposes easy HD (1080i, 1920x1080) and the Netbook is welcome to do the same (if possible in any way), but 1024x768 is the absolut acceptable minimum. Thanks a lot in advance for your kind help Regards Indalo, Switzerland
