I own AA1 D150-1Bw (KAV10), I am a big fan of Gentoo Linux, so I successfully installed Gentoo on my AA1, the only which I didn't manage to configure is mic and higher resolution on VGA interface.
I tired to configure external VGA interface, but I am unable to set resolution higher than 1024x1024.
Xrandr don't let me set VGA mode higher than 1024x1024, even if I create new custom mode. Is that resolution of external VGA limited by hardware? I haven't found any info about hardware supported resolutions of VGA interface.

    info:

Static modes for non Plug and Play monitors without an EDID. The set of basic static display modes (at 60Hz and up to 32bpp colors) include 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200.

If you are unable to use the native resolution of a digital flat panel display (such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, 1440x900, etc.), there may be a problem reading the display's EDID.
Intel has released a driver for the integrated graphics controller of the Intel® 945 Express Chipsets and later chipsets to specifically address this issue.

    EDITED a SCREWUP.
    you can try this to

And none of the above links has any relevance for the threadstarter, since he is using Gentoo and not a Windows version.

Try reading the message first in the future mmmkay ??!?

    "VGA limited by hardware?"
to a point your monitor will only do its Max if thats 1856x1392 it will not do 1920x1200

so find a Linux Driver thats is not a cluge and will support the 945 GMA Completely .
    and Your Welcome.
