One of the things that I didn't like about Fedora was that when I installed it, it had gigantic fonts. I was a linux noobie at time of initial install (and still am more or less) and I've done some research and found a solution to the problem.

    • Navigate to System > Preferences > Look and Feel > Appearence[/*:m:ww0mgjzg]
    • Click on the Fonts tab and click on the Details button[/*:m:ww0mgjzg]
    • Change the Resolution to 75 DPI, click Close[/*:m:ww0mgjzg]
    • Change all the font sizes to 11pt, click Close[/*:m:ww0mgjzg]

Feel free to play around with the DPI and font sizes to fit your liking. You'll need to restart programs (such as Firefox) for the new font size to take effect.

    Enjoy.

Similar: 96dpi, 9pt. The advantage is that some (badly-behaving) applications assume 96dpi, which is something of a standard. Bottom line: use whatever works for you!
