F11 - freeze upon removing headphone jack

The good news: after upgrading to F11 from cambridge, the speakers automute when i insert the headphones! I struggled with this endlessly in 10 and ultimately gave up completely. The bad news: my AA1 freezes whenever i take out the headphones, requiring a hard restart. Anyone experienced this? Found a workaround?
