I have been using Romaines AA1 fan control for awhile now. Tonight the fan runs all the time. I still have the icon in the lower right hand corner but when I put the cursor on it no longer shows the cpu temp. When I click on it the box shows up with cpu at 85, fan on at 70, off at 60. I originally had it set at 60 on 50 off. Did I hit a button wrong somewhere or what. Damn computer sounds really loud now after being quite for so long. Thanks!

There are couple bugs in both AA1fancontrol and A1ctl. Sometimes, the EC will not be recognized properly and will return false temperature reading and fails to control the fan speed.

I suggest uninstalling a1fancontrol and the plugin that you installed with a1fancontrol and reinstall them again.

Without specific error message or the exact point of failure, it's very hard to diagnose the problem.

I'm not to computer savy, I can't find the program on the "add and remove" screen to remove it, any suggestions. When I put it on my computer I just downloaded it off of Romaines page and it worked. Thanks

Uninstall a program called TVicPort in control pannel's add/remove section. Then delete the aa1Fancontrol.exe from your computer.
Then download a1ctl. A1ctl is another fan control software for acer aspire one. Hopefully it will work for you.
