My surfing of the net and Acer forums reveals Fan Control hacks for Acer Aspire One netbooks using Linux or using Windows if the BIOS is of the 3xxx version. It appears that the newer AOD models (HDD drive) with the InsydeH20 BIOS do NOT have a working fan control hack. Does anyone know of a Fan Control that works with the InsydeH20 BIOS. I began with v1.02 and now am using v1.08.

Per a listing on Noda's website regarding A1CTL--

The fan control of A1CTL doesn’t work on a D150 or another acer netbook, only on A110 or A150…

I still suspect incompatibility with the InsydeH20 BIOS. Can anyone verify?

I am also very interested in a solution to get fan control to work with Linux. It's kind of a deal breaker since long battery life is such an attractive feature of these machines.
