Yes, I have had it on my 120Gb XP "One" with no problems, I am now using the "Dark Blue" embedded theme, which is also designed and signed by Microsoft

It`s a really good clean theme, and fits perfectly with the blue "One".

A1Ctl from Noda (french one) is really great! Under XP it works very well and it has a lot of nice features. But.... does not work under Vista (yet ;) ). I just installed (dualboot) Vista on my Acer and the only thing that keeps me from using Vista is that A1Ctl is not working :( Please noda do something :ugeek:

    Hi,
Just "Google" for XP embedded theme and you will have all the hits you will need. The theme is digitally signed by Microsoft (no hacks) so it`s freely available on plenty of sites.

This is my desktop for the "One"

This one could have been made for the blue "Aspire One" its a perfect match, and with no problems :D

Only additional thing I did to the theme was to reduce the title bars from 25 to 21, menu`s, selected items from 19 to 17 & scroll bar down to 15, this just gives a little additional work space and doesn't spoil the theme.

Saw this theme on Lifehacker last week I think. Works great (as does the Zune theme). Sorry for hijacking the thread! :)

Could I respectfully suggest you start a new thread about cool Windows themes for the AAO? ;)

    Hi guys!

I just released version 1.5 of AA1 Fan Control.

    The fixed problems:
When autostarted with windows with the tool sometimes didn´t work with bioses 0.33**.
Sometimes the fan changed between Slow/Fast when it was running.

Please check it out and report problems, if you have.

    Have a nice day!

Is there any application (apart from A1Ctl) that is able to keep fan on _slow_ rpm under XP?

Thank you for the fix! It was getting to the point where I just closed AA1FanControl.

Any progress on the acpiec errors in Event Viewer / System?

\Device\ACPIEC: The embedded controller (EC) hardware returned data when none was requested. This may indicate that the BIOS is incorectly trying to access the EC without syncronizing with the OS. The data is being ignored.

wow new version is even WORSE!

It fires 8 errors every 2-3 seconds, and writes the to the log.

This causing the hard drive to keep spinning and eating up cpu to log the events. Running this actually chops your battery life

Thanks for working continuously on this project! I'm wondering if it's possible to reduce the frequency when the program checks temperature, maybe it'll reduce ACPIEC error as it will request information less frequently?

Ok, I've found the bug, now the program works with vista but due to different power management syntax and registry keys, cpu scaling and resolution change does not work. If I find some time, I'll correct those issues in the next version (that will also provide support for the 2nd type of A1 webcams ;))

Oh, and for those annoyed by the ACPIEC errors (I'm still searching another way to get the temperature to avoid those errors...), you can patch your "acpiec.sys" file so it does not output log events (google it).
