I've been happily using A1ctl since last fall on my A150 (specs below), the 0.4 version. When I tried the new "final" version it caused problems. I reverted to the earlier version and it's working great again. The 0.4 version is still on the developer's site, maybe worth a try.

I downloaded the v1.6 and I don't think it affects my fans at all on my AOD250...

I tried this and modified one of the codes to 0x1E by mistake. By luck, this value makes my fan ramp up like mad
I'm using an AOA 150, can anyone with an AOA 150 try this out? thx

am running Vista now completelly fanless! I changed the "Fan Temperature" to 80°C ... now it only turns on when cpu is running at 100% for a long time.

    Hello,
Do you think this software will work on my Acer Aspire S3

    From the following post http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?p=4657451#post4657451

I understand that editing the 0x93 key with the following value set to manual or auto mode,
    AUTO - 0x04
    MANUAL - 0x14

And editing the 0x94 key from 0x00 to 0xFF (0xFF min vs. 0x00 max)
    Change the speed.

Is it possible to do this with this software ? how ?
