    Hi folks,

I have one of the first Aspire One's A110AB with slow 8GB SSD.

I would like to replace it with a faster one. Preferably plug&play...

I just found a reasonably priced Kingston 30GB SSDnow V series drive.

If I want to use it in the AAO do I have to remove the case? Adapter necessary?

    Is there an alternative?

I would be grateful for advise.

    Cheers,

    Frank

If I take a CF-Card with adapter cable, would this require more power then the original SSD? Which card would be te way to go? size, speed etc.

You should contact SuperTalent. Their warranty info says that MLC SSD are covered for 2 years:

I thought about a hard drive too, but they're louder, consume more power and create more heat. Also they don't really fit that well inside the 110. I've had so many hours of use out of my SSD that if it failed I'd defo buy another.
