Under Control Panel,System click Advanced tab, select Startup and Recovery button and untick the 'Time to display recovery optiosn when needed' option. Click OK then OK.

Hey I managed to fix my problem which is identical to yours I think, I was in your shoes and hit that 4-bit mode too when i set it to 128 mb. The change I made to make it work was the preallocation parameter it was set to '1' when it didn't work. After I set it to '0' I was able to enable fbwfmgr.

    fbwfmgr /setpreallocation 0

Give that a go and set your threshold back to 256+

Did you use the exact registry file given on the post or did you manually key in the registry keys? I noticed I got that same error when I mucked around the registry. I mucked around with the image path key under fbwf or something like that which is set to "system32\drivers\fbwf.sys"

Sorry for the cross post ...

If using EWF, would it make any difference if the HDD was formatted as NTFS, or FAT32?

Would it not be easier using something like Google Calendar on the netbook and the syncing that with Rainlender on any other machines?

If you install rainlendar to a different drive you can.

The thing is, fbwf only protects one drive. So, you should be installing things to your secondary partition. Of course, some things, like MSN Messenger and the Firefox bookmarks, will still save to the primary partition automatically... so you'll have to set those files up as exceptions.

But I'm pretty sure rainlendar saves its files to the installation folder. Just install it to your nonprotected drive and you'll be fine.

    Hey all,
    After I enable FBWF,
Each time, I turn my computer on there is a message saying Windows did not start successfully. And each time I need to select "Start Windows Normally" to start the windows.
Do you guys have any clue what I might have done wrong or what I might have missed.
The windows function normally. Pretty fast indeed.
I used sd card and changed my temp folder to sd card also I changed my documents folder to same sd card. I disabled paging.
Just to try I disabled the FBWF and restart the computer couple of times. There was no errors.I enable it back. It didn't solve my problem.
    Thanks for your time.
    Best whishes,
    -Alpman

alpman - goto Control Panel, system. Select Advanced tab.Click on 'Startup and Recovery' setting button. Untick the 'Time to display recovery options'. Click OK a number of times !!
Obviously make sure you are not running fbwf when chnaging this else it won't be remembered on next reboot !!!
