I am running xfce, and my battery time is about 2 hours 40 minutes. That's way better than my Ubuntu Netbook Remix time of 2 hours.

Does anyone have a battery time for KDE? My system is a AAO 8G SSD.

I only get about 1 hour 50 minutes on a full charge with F10 XFCE, but possibly my battery's gone through more discharge cycles than yours. ;)

i sure hope that's the case! I tried to follow a few optimization tips, but I didn't apply everything. I am going to install "powertop" soon to get an actual power usage value. That's probably a better comparison factor than battery time.
