    RockDoctor,

    Sound, Webcam, Right slot.

    It works great.

A tad slower? Maybe, but it makes no diff. It has most of the sore points covered right out of the box.

    Thanks.

    Scott

(my apologies to HappyHarry because this is a xfce thread)

Sorry for offtopic but I do not want to open new topic for this.

I currently use mandriva but F11 seems promising so I want to try it (I am not happy enough0 with mandriva). My question is: what is the best choice, XFCE of GNOME on configuration 8GB SSD + 1.5 GB ram? I mean will GNOME be annoyingly slow on it?

Best choice is whichever desktop you prefer. I use GNOME on my 120GB HDD/1GB RAM system. I have not done any specific testing, but XFCE doesn't feel any lighter/faster than GNOME to me, just different. LXDE does feel both lighter and faster, but LXDE is clearly not as full-featured as either GNOME or XFCE.

Thank you for reply. Then I think I will go with GNOME, since I use it with my desktop and kinda like it...
