Hi all, im new to the Aspire One... my friend got it a little while back and now no longer needs it so he gave it me. I belive its a Aspire One ZG5 1gb DDR2 16GB SSD It had the Linux OS on it, BUT he had done something seriously bad with it and it would not boot, and i thought i would try the RTM release of windows 7 on it, all is fine except its a little slow at times like shutting down, opening some programs there is a long pause before it actualy does anything (thats the main problem...) BUT when i look in the task manager, the CPU it always low down below 10% even during the pauses that the programs have... Can anyone shed some light on how to speed things up a little? If not, cant anyone help me with this weird problem then... i have been trying to make a USB recovery disk off the Disk that comes with it, i booted it up, pressed "create recovery USB" and then it just site there.... with the "Aspire One" loading bar not moving... instead of going to the part where i selecr the Drive to format etc... Also the Caps lock lights just keeps flashing as it sits there... Any help apreciated! Cheers Keith
