finally got the one :)

finally got my acer aspire one, got the white 120gb linux model 512mb ram
got it from pcworld in the uk

it is fast, really fast boot, must be only 10-15seconds in linpus
no fan issues at all, its actually silent can just about hear it if you put it to your ear.
came with the latest bios pre-installed
done all the updates for linpus

very impressed so far
have to get the extra 1gb ram in it now just, and prob put on windows xp sp3 as well at some point.

wifi pick up is very good
so light and neat
screen colours are very good
keyboard is actually good to type on, considering its size.

only one thing atm is the messenger, it wont pick up my hotmail msn account for some reason?

make sure you read page 11 on the ram upgrade thread in the Hardware section before getting the screwdrivers out.

I agree with you about the wifi, they seem to have a really good driver installed by default.
