HI. I have my task manager open because my poor little netbook is absolutely crawling.. it looks as though the 'find' application is using up tons of resources. I have 1gb total mem, and this 'uninterruptible' app is hogging at least half of it, and a good chunk of cpu at the same time. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening or what is causing it?
I like my netbook, but this is making me like it considerably less.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks guys/gals.

Open a terminal window and type "top" (without the quotes); then "h" for help; "M" (not m) to sort by memory usage; "k" then the PID (see 1st column) of the program to kill. This should get you started
