I forgot the name of that addon that makes the viewing screen bigger and the file, edit, view, etc only appear when you hit the Alt key.

Anyone know the name of this addon?

    Thanks

cant you just hit F11 so that it goes full screen.....the file edit view etc will only appear when you go to the top of the screen with your cursor...(as far as i can remember)

    Hi neal22,
I can understand that some people would rather have the Navigation ToolBar and/or the bottom TaskBar always visible as it can often contain important info, depending on what software or FireFox extensions they have installed.

I tried Hide MenuBar which is how I know about it but I didn't 'need' it enough to warrant keeping it.
I have put my most important Bookmarks on the MenuBar to fill up that space to the right of Help so now it's not such a waste of space. This combined with SiteLauncher means no Bookmarks ToolBar is needed.
    SiteLauncher @ http://www.donesmart.com/sitelauncher/
(I use SiteLauncher v 1.5.0 Alpha 1 and have no problems but it is Alpha ;) )

Also, in another space saving attempt, I tried the Windows TaskBar option of "Auto Hide The TaskBar" but it frustrates me too much by popping up whenever I point near the bottom of the page, best I just leave it up and stay relaxed :)

I also use the FireFox Add-On 'autHideStatusbar'
I find it works well and I don't 'need' the StatusBar displayed except on page loading and link address both of which bring up the StatusBar anyway.
    autoHideStatusbar @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1530

For Options pages etc that are too big for the screen I have MoveMe on standby, this was suggested by robert456 (thanks again :) ) in this Thread @

Other than that I just use F11 as you suggested when necessary :)

All the best, woz of oz

thanks wozofoz....of oz hehe. i find that using F11 is just so simple....then i dont use my trackpad for scrolling. i can just use up and down keys to read...
for me installing addons slows down firefox....and don't even get me started on firefox's startup time....its better than IE, but still too slow for me...i'm a speed freak, so now i'm giving google chrome a trial run, and its impressing me more and more. give it a go just to see what i mean...fast and has tabbed browsing too, so i got no complaints there.....oh and thanks for the add-on links for firefox!!! much appreciated (if i ever go back to firefox) :D
