Firefox Stutter / Lag - SSD Light on

    I was reading up on kernel elevators and decided that elevator=deadline might be better than elevator=noop that is recommended in help.ubuntu.

    Not much difference really - BUT it looks to have fixed the Firefox stutter/lag problem!!

    It all makes sense: The noop option does no read/write optimizing at all, while the deadline option also does no read/write optimization, but does try and shift data to a deadline.

    i tried this.
    and some setting in firefox: turn off fishing and malwarfunction, harddisk-cache and all add-ons. performance is now better, but every time when loading a new page firefox is freezing for 1-2 seconds and the sdd-light is on.

    i also tried to install firefox 3.1 alpha2, some bug here.
