When I first turned my AAO on, it went through the setup and at point I thought it was stuck because it was showing a "Dos window" which I just clicked on the close button only to realize later that it was installing some "tools". How do I re-install the tools?

( Assuming you have the Linpus - version )

There is a command called "oobe" .
Stands for "Out Of Box Experience".
    Really.
So, hit alt-F2 and fill in

    sudo oobe

I cannot test this myself. --Japser.
