    Fix Atheros BSODS!
Hello, alot of people had the problem that their atheros driver, gave them BSOD. I also had the problem. I fixed it by doing this(srry for bad english) :

    1. Download this Atheros Driver(SAY WHEN THE LINK IS DOWN!) : http://rapidshare.com/files/332828611/x ... l.zip.html
    2. extract on desktop!
    3. Then download this BIOS: ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/netbook/aspire_ ... v.3114.zip (I DONT NOW IF ITS NECESARRY, BUT I DID THIS!)
    4. Then flash the BIOS, find a guide on how to do it here:
    5. Then press the Windows button and Pause Break button, Press Advanced System Settings, Hardware, Device Manager.
    6. Goto Network Adaptors right click on the Atheros one, press properties, Driver, Update Driver, Browse My Computer blablablaaaah, Let me pick from a list blablablaaah.
    7. Select Have Disk, and navigate to the driver folder, you downloaded in the first step, and then select it when it popup between the other drivers you can choose.

    Then it should be fixed!
THIS WORKED FOR MY ASPIRE ONE 110 8GB SSD! - DONT NOW ABOUT OTHER AAO'S! :D

Strange as my netbook has been rock solid since installing Win7, using the windows update to find the current driver and then updating the bios to 3310.

I have a 8gb ssd in the expasion slot I wonder if this would make any difference, I am currently running it as a 3gb readyboost.

I'm running Win7 Home Premium Full Version The ISO footprint isnt more than 3gb.

Yes, due to minimal ram I running custom video tweaks like no aero/transparency etc but still have visual styling so the 'pretty' bits are still there.

Disabled non essential services (ideas from various sites).

I have just flashed my BIOS to v3310 now it won't start up.

The process went ok, but once it flashed the fan screamed like mad (never heard it so fast) and then shut down. When I look in the BIOS is says it has v3310, but it can't get past trying to load Windows

    Help please?????

As an update, after disconnecting the power and battery I managed to get it started up again. Windows had to do a repair & restore to get it working though.

When I boot up the BIOS now says v0.3310 - is that right????

    Thanks
