Example: I am on a 3.4 dual with 2 gigs of ram my SSD A1 does almost everything as fast or faster, it allows you to run XP and 7 with very good speed. Note I did not mention VISTA my most hated OS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm almost ready to upgrade to a 1.8" 20GB Hitachi drive. Can I clone my FAT32 partition, boot, and THEN uninstall FlashPoint/FlashFire or should I uninstall it first? Is HDD support still missing in the latest version? It seems that the 2MB on-drive buffer would be a bad thing if FalshFire effectively gives me a huge system memory buffer! Is there a way to use both drives at once?

Can I just advise people that I've just lost my acer an I think its been caused by flashfire. Normally if I have a sudden power loss I have to uninstall FFire do a diskcheck then reinstall ffire, however on this occasion my system wont boot, I just keep getting the BSOD, When I boot into safe mode the drivers load but then hang when it gets to ffire.sys, the ssd light goes out then after 2 minutes I get the BSOD. I used Ubuntu to get into the ssd and backup my files, then I tried to do a fresh install of XP Home but I get the same BSOD, can anyone help me out here? I'm baffled. the BSOD says

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    0x00000050, 0xc9100000, 0x00000000, 0x80807DE8, 0x00000000

Just googled that BSOD code, first result was Microsoft's site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329293 which explains their theory on the particular code.

That link you gave me talks about startin windows in safe mode but I cant get it to run in safe mode, I tried last night to do a fresh install of XP SP3 and I get the same BSOD, I checked the RAM and that seems to be ok so I think my mobo is kaput. Saying that though I could get ubuntu live cd to work, I backed up my critical files so maybe I'll try and install that and go from there.

I get a bluescreen at startup when i try to install flashfire...Luckly i get the option to start with previous settings that worked...But flashfire just won't work for me

Any other software LIKE flashfire that does the same thing....that i could experiment with? (Right now i'm looking for an older version, but if its a driver conflict...thats not going to fix it)
