Have you extracted all the files from the zip and tried right clicking the file then?

dont forget to check whether your windows updates have stopped, if it has, then follow the instructions from one of my previous posts to fix it

as for tiny xp... not sure, i just use the official xp pro, which works like a charm

    Re: FlashPoint: SSD accelerator

Question How do I know that I have the latest version, mine shows as: FlashPoint 2009 Beta 2: 2009-03-22 .
Not sure if would need to replace with a newer version or not, What I have now seems to do very well. Basically it cured my main gripe with this machine.

    Re: FlashPoint: SSD accelerator

    hey all...

fantastic little app thanks to the dev... only problem is i cant get my windows updates to work at all even after following some of instructions on earlier posts .. including deleting the folder (which automatic updates reacreates by the way). Any help would be great.

Here's what i get in eventlog if it helps... :?

wuauclt (3100) The database page read from the file "C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb" at offset 3457024 (0x000000000034c000) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes failed verification due to a page number mismatch. The expected page number was 843 (0x0000034b) and the actual page number was 907 (0x0000038b). The read operation will fail with error -1018 (0xfffffc06). If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup.

    Thanks

    Re: FlashPoint: SSD accelerator

Hi, I just installed Flashpoint Beta4 Patch 3 and it seems like my SSD is running SLOWER than before.

Loading a large web page is just horrible, the whole computer 'hangs' even with FlashPoint.

The computer just hangs a lot, I'm running the OEM XP with all the garbage uninstalled and I installed NOD32 Antivirus.

    Re: FlashPoint: SSD accelerator

I found Beta4Patch 3 made my SSD really slow so I reverted to the original Beta4. Now it's back up to speed.

Word of caution. I uninstalled using the program on the flashpoint website but got the blue screen of death on boot. Had to reinstall because 'last known good configuration' didn't work. Fortunately I had made a backup

    Re: FlashPoint: SSD accelerator

So if I uninstall manually from the site's direction, I should be alright?
I'm thinking of just loading Ron's TinyXP :ugeek:
