Hey guys I've been seeing some flickering horizontal lines on my screen.

    Aspire one ao722-bz454 11.6"
    Radeon 6200 series
    AMD C-50
    250gb hd
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 SP1
    Upgraded to 4GB 1333Mhz RAM - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YU83YO

I first saw it when outputting through HDMI, unplugged and it disappeared. Eventually it started to turn up on the actual screen.

    - A reboot usually takes care of it but will reoccur after a couple days.
    - I upgraded to 4GB. of ram right away so I don't know if the problem occurs with the orig 2GB. *Edit: Problem still exists while running the 2 gig.
    - I updated to the latest drivers on AMD's site (Yes, old drivers uninstalled cleanly) and still experience the problem, although, now CCC.exe runs at 10-20% CPU usage constantly.
    - I started undervolting with Brazos Tweaker hoping a lower temp would solve this and still have the problem.
    - Has appeared during a wide range of programs, ie movies, browsing, desktop view.
    - Sometimes when it occurs during browsing and I switch to desktop it disappears.

I've looked and looked for a solution and haven't found many others experiencing the same issue. Saw some brief talk about it on a slickdeals forum, but no real solution was produced. - http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread ... ight=lines

Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if there's any additional info you need. Thanks.

I'm unfamiliar with the most recent catalyst software as I don't use ATI or AMD graphics cards, however a few years ago there was a problem in the Catalyst Control Centre that would manifest itself in a square of white pixels in the corner of the screen. Terminating the CCC process from task manager was the fix. Maybe this could help?

Otherwise I'd say it could be a hardware issue, have you run a RAM test to ensure all your RAM is fully functional?

I usually end CCC.exe to avoid the cpu usage and the problem still exists. I actually switched back to the orig 2GB RAM and still ended up getting the same problem eventually. Temperatures are not outrages either. I'm still stumped. Thanks for the reply.

I was about to suggest a faulty LCD or cable, but after re-reading the first post and seeing that it originally started on the HDMI, I'd say it could be a minor malfunction in the graphics chip itself. Have you contacted Acer about a warranty repair?

I have a post going with Acer's support team and they had me do a couple things. Now they want me to do a system restore...twice.. to see if the problem still exists. So I guess I'll try that tomorrow, although, I don't have my hopes up. It only figures the problem started a couple weeks after Amazon's 30 days return policy ended.

It's been almost two weeks since a clean restore to factory settings and I haven't had the problem. Updated to the latest drivers on AMD's site and added most of main programs/files back on and everything has been fine so far. *crosses fingers*

Edit: Oh, on a side note addressing the excessive CPU usage from the CCC.exe process. I've figured out it was conflicting with Flux - a program I use to auto change the color temp based on the sunrise/sunset.
