I have a mythbuntu setup in my house and would like to use my aspireone as a front end in the kitchen sometimes. I run ubuntu 9.10 and am happy with the way the device works but i havent been able to find a way to flip the screen.

My plan is to mount the netbook under some of the kitchen cabinets so the screen flips down to show myth when in use. Is there a way i can flip the image on my aspireone so that a flip down setup works?

    Thanks

That can be done very easy. Use the tool xrandr. This allows rotation of screen. You can apply the xrandr command to one of your hot-keys.

    Code:
    xrandr -o inverted
    flips the screen

    Code:
    xrandr -o normal
    brings it back to normal

There is also a gui for xrandr, grandr for Ubuntu or krandr for Kubuntu.

or even easier. if you're using ubuntu, open the "Display" control panel (System>Preferences>Display) and select Rotation: Upside Down.
