Found a program to overclock GMA 950!

    While 1080p may not be be watchable even with this overclock, almost all current 1080 transmissions are interlaced not progressive, so the data rate is only ~10% higher than 720p.

    I suppose it depends if it's the decoding or the rendering that is limiting the AA1 @ video decoding.

    With the AA1's 1024x600 screen 720p is certainly a better usage of the bandwidth than 1080i, though both are fairly wasteful due to the downscaling.[/quote:16pmpdxy]

    Some 1080P videos are watchable without overclocking. You just need to tweak your AAO.
    Most 720P videos are smooth as butter when played with correct codec on AAO.
    1080i is certainly duoable since the resolution is only 10% higher.

    Both 1080i and 720P looks much better on the AAO compared to 480P. Some other people might want to use AAO as a media center for their Hi-Def TV.

    Overclocking the GMA950 shouldn't improve any video playback noticable as it isn't able to aid in video decoding. The atom cpu is doing all the work.
