I bought an Aspire One last year. The order info is as follows:

    ORDER NO : Z4400929
    ORDER TIME: Wed Sep 10 2008 08:09:49 A.M. PT

    ORDER CONTENT: 1 x (10008958) ACER AOA150-1006 LU.S040B.110 Aspire One 8.9in 120GB HDD 1GB PC2-4200 (DDR2-533) 802.11b/g Windows XP Home Notebook White Retail ***Free
    Shipping*** @ $399.00

The book worked OK until the day before yesterday, Oct. 1st, 2009. The display screen was suddenly frozen and crashed, when I used IE to browse the internet. After that the blue screen showed some words:

your pc screen has the problem for the first time. you should contact with the service.

Well, the warranty is supposed last for a year until Sept. 17 of 2009, because I received the Aspire One on Sept. 17 of 2008. The 13 days make BIG difference.

Now, I can reboot the machine and use it. However, the screen makes some noise. I am really afraid of that the screen would be completely dead soon.

I would like to know if Acer would be willing to repair my screen with just expired warranty.
