I've seen a couple of guides on disk encryption using a mounted dmg image and saving your documents in there.

Is there a full disk encryption similar to how linux/gnu does it (LUKS/AES)? Like having the whole HFS+ partition encrypted, so if you can't provide the pass on boot up, OSX wont boot?

Or does someone have something similar?

Then, if possible, is there a cross platform encryption solution? The closest i've seen is TrueCrypt. Any suggestions because we probably want our AOne's secure too right? ^^

Apple Filevault only encrypts the home folder of the user i think.

    *Edit*
There's actually a commercial product out for OSX that does a whole disk encryption... $119.00 (USD) by PGP.

Sadly, i've been looking around and found no open source solution yet for software encryption. I looked at some hardware encrypted devices and was looking at maybe a Live USB flash drive setup. But from the ones I've read like Kingston Traveler Elite, it's not OS X supported.

    sigh.. :(
