Full recovery on Aspire 5024WLMi?

    I'm trying to fully restore my Aspire 5024WLMi laptop but it won't have it. I have tried reinstalling several times with my recovery disc and even if it works I get a light blue screen every bootup saying I should let it check for problems. If I let it, then nothing happens! If I skip it, it loads up but within hours/days I'll get a proper blue screen and have to reinstall again.

    It's driving me mad. There does seem to be a factory setting on the disc but it can't be selected :x

    Any help would be great, thanks

    I would get a hold of a standard windows cd vista/xp/windows 7 and see if it will boot from system start up.
