Are there any of these around that work "out of the box"? I move around within Europe and wish to use pay as you go - price of the unit is not an issue. I am aware of the Huawei threads - don.t really want to go there. Thanks :D

    The short answer: No.

The longer answer: Almost, you just need to do some installing / tweaking to get them to work.

I have the option icon 225 myself, and it just needed a couple of software installations to work. You can find the thread with instructions if you search for "icon 225" on the forum search. More info is available on the forum, search and you will find.

I read this thread about 10 mins after ringing Orange Tech Support who told me it was'nt possible to use a Icon 225 with Linux.I used the search for Icon 225,but it was a case of Woooooseh straight over my head.I'll need a great deal of hand holding to get round this problem.
