Game Speed?

Has anyone found a decent way to speed up game performance, I am currently running my laptop just out of the box, any help would be lovely.

There really isn't a good way to increase performance on the acer as of right now other then doing some tweaking to windows xp. Tweaking XP will just smoothen it up and start up is like 10 seconds faster and I was able to save around 30mb of RAM. Other then that not that I know of. You can overclock your GMA 95x series graphics chip but testing hasn't shown me enough results to try if for myself. Sounds kind of hokey anyway. Just try to free up as many resources as you can. Delete programs you don't use. Stop background processes that you don't need running and keep your system up to date and patched up. Other then that I would also love to hear about some other tweaks people have found but this forum doesn't have much action. It has a lot of members that only post every so often.

 

How can I update all my drivers and bios? Is there a way to tell if theres an update?
