Anyone tested multiple First Person shooters in Linux and have any idea which one performs best?

I installed Nexuiz under Linpus, but FPS rates vary wildly - even in 640 x 480 windowed mode with detail turned down. Sometimes the fps gets up to about 30, but most of the time as soon as even a single bot figure comes dancing into the screen, rates instantly drop to about 8 or less. Not good.

    Regards, R

PS. Edit: Oops, sorry, just noticed this was posted in the Windows subforum. Still, someone might have tried both.

CoD2 is probably too heavy for any current netbook, so don't get your hopes up.

For the One, games like Quake III or Unreal Tournament 99 will run ok, CoD1 is probably too slow already (=less than 20 fps average) since my Mac mini has the same gfx chip and even with its Core Duo CPU, that's only barely coping with CoD1 already.

Tried Eve online (the classic content version) and it plays it fine, around 15fps. So choppy but well playable. :)
this is on a 110 with XP Pro NLited, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB samsung SSD.
