Half-Life 2 Plays with Some stuttering.
Portal crashes and won't even let you start a game.

So, my guess is we have something like P III 800Mhz - P IV 1.1Ghz inside the One. Not that bad for a 2w CPU! :)
Now you know all the games you can play on the One. Sure you want to have 1.5GB RAM and maybe an HDD drive (note that you'll need a lot more HDD free space if you don't have an external DVD drive)

    Minimum system requirements:
    GTA: Vice City
800 MHz Intel Pentium III or 800 MHz AMD Athlon or 1.2GHz Intel Celeron or 1.2 GHz AMD Duron processor
    128 MB of RAM
    32 MB video card

World of Warcraft + Burning Crusade
System: Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or equivalent
    RAM: 512 MB
    Video Memory: 32 MB
    Hard Drive Space: 10000 MB

    Serious Sam:
    AMD K6-3 400MHz, Pentium II or Celeron-A 300MHz
    64MB RAM
    Fully OpenGL compliant 3D accelerator

Heroes of might and magic V: Tribes of the east
    Processor: PIV 1.5 GHz
    DirectX 9.0c
    1 GB RAM
Free hard drive space: 1 GB
    AGP 128MB DirectX 9.0c

    project64
Intel Pentium 3 700Mhz or AMD Athlon 800Mhz CPU
    128MB system RAM
    video: 16MB
    200MB free hard drive space
Additional 20MB-100MB free hard drive space per game

    Eve online
CPU: Intel PentiumĀ® III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz
    RAM: 512 MB or more
    HD space: 6.0 GB
    Video: 32 MB 3D

    Half-Life 2 (+/-)
    1.2 GHz Processor
    256MB RAM
    DirectX 7 capable graphics card

Games which push the AA1 to the limit:
    Max Payne 2:
System: 1 GHz Pentium III / Athlon or 1.2GHz Celeron or Duron processor or equivalent
    RAM:256 MB
    Video Memory:32 MB

    GTA San Andreas(some stutter):
1 GHz CPU, 256 MB of RAM, graphics card with 64 MB RAM and 3.6 GB of free space

    World of Warcraft:
Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz processor
at least 512 MB of RAM,
    32 MB graphics card,
6.0 GB of hard drive space

    Crysis 10fps all low:
OS - Windows XP or Windows Vista
Processor - 2.8GHz or faster (XP); 3.2GHz or faster (Vista)
Memory - 1GB RAM or 1.5GB RAM (Vista)
    Video Card - 256MB
    Hard Drive - 12GB

    Trials2 (in low mode)
CPU: 1.5 GHz Intel Pentium 4
    AMD Ahtlon XP 1500+
    RAM: 256 MB
    Video: 128 MB GeForce FX8600
    Radeon 9500
    Intel GMA 950
    HDD: 220 MB

3D minigolf Adventure (but lag lag lag with 512Mb)
Pentium 700 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 50 MB Hard drive space

    Fail:
    Unreal Tournament 2004 (lags)
CPU - Pentium III or AMD 1.0 GHz
Memory - 128 MB RA; on WIn98 and ME / 256 MB RAM on Win 2000 and XP
    Hard Disk Space: 5,5 GB
Video System: Radeon 8000 or superior, GeForce 2 or superior, 64MB of viedo memory or superior

Thanks to all those posters out there

Wow, go little Acer! I didn't expect it would even think about starting Crysis without melting itself in fear.

yea loads crysis like a champ but goes down in a blaze of glory when the game starts...also requires you to emulate the hw t@l and vertex stuff

    Hi!

I have AA1 8GB Samsung SSD and 512MB ram with XP SP3 Nlited and the games I'm playing right now are:
Warcraft III TFT (almost MAX settings)
    FIFA 2003 (max)
    Half-Life/CS (max)
    Revolt :D (max)
    Guild Wars (low settings)
    NFS Underground 2 (low)

I'm planning to buy 1 gb extra ram and I think that this will improve the performance and increase the FPS :>

    PS:
I love my AA1 !!! It is wonderful machine!!!

Has anyone tried Trackmania Nations Forever? http://www.trackmania.com/en/index.php? ... ub=nations

Amazing free game, my AAO is on its way, I'd love to be able to play it! (Especially if it can be installed on Linux, I'll have to find out how, I plan on installing K/Ubuntu and an extra 1GB of RAM)

I'd like to make note that Stepmania works perfectly. The mmo's Lunia and Maplestory work flawlessly as well.

    Greetings all.

Just got my One today and it's a great little machine. XP/1g RAM/120g HDD. I work as a web developer, and I have a lovely little portable office now :)

Anyway, I didn't see anyone post about Neverwinter Nights 1 so I wanted to point out that it (plus all expansions) runs just fine on the One. Had to turn off shadows and a couple of other graphics options to boost the frame rate, but it's perfectly playable.

Dungeon Keeper 2 works really well, and is quite well suited to trackpad use.

Always nice to play some games on a portable AA1. The Atom isn't bad for playing older games at all. I just wish Intel would have better onboard graphic options for gaming performance or allow another chipset company like Nvidia to develop a budget onboard graphics chipset to make games more playable. Don't think that will really ever happen on these little things....LOL

sorry to disappoint, but cod2 DOES NOT WORK. infact it doesn't work on any Intel GMA 950 chipset...tried it today and then found this on intel's site:

    http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/i ... 021832.htm

However COD1 does work with decent fps.
    Quake 3 also works great.

Thats the only 3 I've tried so far...

and LOL at Crysis...I'm really surprised it even starts...wonder how Far Cry would run?!?!
